But he also had 1 year left on his contract, and he'll be worth a contract next year that Arizona likely won't be able to afford. They were going all in on this season.

Speaking of Cooper, he was cut by the Pats. Any takers? I'd give a third happily for Haden and throw in Blake and McCain as a bonus.

Wow, a huge variation of opinions here. Good discussion.

I posted early in the thread, didn't really go one way or another, but simply pondered that it may not be the best use of two, potential top 10 picks that can bring us the impact WR/CB combo we need. Love me some Haden, and yes, immediately fills that CB role, but we're not really in a position to win right now or next year. I'd rather that CB come from the draft and grows with the group.

With all of that said, if there's any interest in something like 3rd + McCain or Blake, it's a no-brainer. Lots of cap space and an immediate, massive upgrade over McCain and Blake. Couldn't stand watching that horrendous coverage from McCain yet again yesterday on that 30 yard RAC.

In short, yes to Haden for a reasonable deal, but I'm likely in the camp saying no thanks. That could change when he gets a pick 6 minutes into the game against MM.

I'd love to trade for Haden and don't think giving up a 1st for him is unreasonable. Signed through 2019 & is just 27. If we could do Haden + 3rd for 1st, I'd hop all over it. Huge upgrade at corner and would still have a first and 3 3rds in the upcoming draft.

Side note: Vikings should make a push for Joe Thomas.

Either way, I hope the Browns trade all these players before Sunday. Improve our chances.

Trading a first or even a second for Haden is crazy!

First, is he the best CB in the league? No. Close? No. He's already 27, making top dollar and has injury problems. This is why he's not worth a first or 2nd. Too much risk that you are PAYING for.

I'd offer our 4th and steer in the direction of giving them a player if additional value was needed....Cassel and a 5th, Cassel and a 4th for Haden and Gordon?

You also have to ask yourself, why are they shopping him? For them he's a transition player (like a McCourty for us). They don't need the cap space and it's about squiring more important value now or in the future. Cassel could start for them now and be a solid backup for them in the future. Gordon has no future there (possibly anywhere).

Would Cassel make magic #30 for starters in Cleveland?
99-2016 and already 30 starters. Amazing, almost avg. 2 per year.

Not sure why they even want to trade since they have about a hundred draft picks anyway.
