Former Vanderbilt tight end Brandon Barden is expected to miss some practice time after suffering a hamstring injury during Sunday night’s practice. The undrafted free agent had an MRI on Monday.

Coach Mike Munchak said the injury is expected to keep Barden, who was hurt during a special teams drill, out of action for a while.

Said Barden: “I am not sure of the timetable. I have had minor strains that kept me out a day or two, but I think this is going to be a little bit worse. I am definitely disappointed because I wanted to come in and play well in training camp and the preseason. I am just going to try and be patient and get it back right.”
