    Here he comes!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Aldon Smith suspended 9 games.

Roger Gooddell really laying the law down:

Unless you are Ray Rice.............. Two game suspension. What a joke.

    Key Points to NFL Initiative
[IMG]Information from Roger Goodell's letter to owners and ESPN sources on stepped-up punishment for abuse under NFL's personal conduct policy:

    • Policy applies to all incidents involving physical force, not just domestic violence

    • Six-game suspension for first offense (could be longer under certain circumstances)

    • Lifetime ban for second offense (can apply for reinstatement after one year)

    • Policy applies to all NFL personnel, not just players

    • Policy is not retroactive; everyone starts with clean slate

    • Those identified as "at risk" for committing offenses offered counseling; refusal could affect future discipline

    • Confidential counseling offered to all personnel and families

Wonder what will happen if an owner beats his wife.

Goodell thinks weed is worse than beating women unconscious.

    Love the gif.

He has about reached late 90's McMahon level ******* boss status.

Keep waiting for Stone Cold Steve Austin to run out and hit him with the Stone Cold Stunner every time he gets in front of a camera.

I know it's fun to bash on Goodell but the 4-game suspension for weed isn't his idea, it's a long running precedent that has never been changed, nor questioned until now.

People need to stop acting like this Gordon thing is all about weed. Weed may be the substance he chose to abuse but this guy is getting punished for being a repeat offender and showing absolutely no indication that he will ever stop burning'em down.

Just like our criminal justice system, repeat offenders get tagged harder than first timers. If you get caught with weed enough times, you will, eventually, get hit harder than first time wife beaters in the real world too (no pun intended). I get that people really like weed and consider it harmless but let's not take this Gordon thing out of context.

I absolutely agree. It's not about a one-time offense, but total disregard for the contract he signed.

Any one of us would be blessed to be paid as well for what we do to earn a living, and would not get a second much less a fifth chance after violating a contract.

Defending people with self-entitlement issues is stupid. Above the law my ass!!

It isn't about weed, but violence should be instant 1 year suspension.

It would dip into the NFLs profits too much. Punishment isn't a deterrent for these people, I'm afraid.
But I do agree. The nfl will let anything slide until starts affecting their bottom line.

RG has already come out and said that he made a mistake and that rules are changing with domestic violence

Only because people threw a fit. It didn't come from his nonexistent sense of conviction, I'm sure.
