Mariota wasn't having problems gripping the ball Sunday.

Sure, the DC not being present hurts, but they were not executing the plays being called, no matter who was calling them.

Luck had all day to throw...that's what it all came down to. Any time an NFL QB can stand back in the pocket and not face any pressure, it's going to be a bad day for the defense.

Gotta give credit to the Colts o-line. Having not given up a sack in 6 games is a hell of a feat and obviously it helps your team tremendously.

Meanwhile, the Titans oline was getting pushed around and manhandled the whole game.

 

Since we're now randomly questioning guys development, what about that kern guy? Should we draft a new punter?

Mariota had a clean pocket when he threw that horrible INT. Andrew Luck is Andrew Luck even behind a bad OL, that's not the reason he had a better day.

Mariota clearly aggravated his injury last week. We showed no desire to throw the ball from the start, and he couldn't complete anything other than check downs. We didn't go after Luck, they came after Mariota because they had the lead and he wouldn't throw the ball. The coaching staff just needs to know when to shut Mariota down.

And it's more than "execution" on defense. We haven't given up more than 21 on defense in regulation all year , and the one game when Pees isn't calling plays, we give up 38. So is it just a coincidence that every single player executed poorly this week?

 

What about the other 9 games we played? How many TDs has he given up this season?
