A sneak peak at the 2018 offense

Right forgot them. So 9 starters. Almost all the depth is new. And many of these guys were either just drafted, or were the only talent on the roster. JR has done a damn fine job. It'll be nice to see a coaching staff scheme to the rosters' strengths and minimize it's weaknesses.

But wasn't that why they canned Mularkey? Mariota's performance. Makes no sense. PFF pulls a lot of stuff out of their ass and calls it dark chocolate.

 

They canned Mularkey because of his refusal to change with the times and install a 21st century offense. His systems were blamed for the poor offensive performance not the other way around. Most everyone agrees the offense regressed as a whole because of issues with the system and of course play calling.

 

I can not wait to watch this offense this year. It's going to take off

 

Such a damn head scratching blunder how players were used on offense. I mean Taywan showed speed and ability to get separation early in the season and connected with MM8 on great plays then they just completely stopped using him. So happy Robiskie and Mularkey are gone.

 

Yeah, they couldn't seem to figure out how to use TT when Davis came back.... which makes absolutely zero sense.

 

They really seem to be looking for a Wes Welker/Julien Edelman/Danny Amendola type of slot receiver. Signed Mike Campanero and Nick Williams as free agents, brought in college guys like Deontay Burnett, Cam Batson, Devin Ross, J.T. Luper, and tryout Anthony Firkser. The quick slants out of the slot figures to be a big part of the offense.
