2014 NFL Draft: Pick #11 - OT Taylor Lewan

We did need him though, draft picks are not just for one year

We thought we did not need him. What we did not realize though was how close Roos was to the end. And that Oher was a bigger risk than most thought.

It was such a big need we ended up having to go OT again two years later in the first round

 

Like I said, after I slept on it I saw the value in the pick, but that night I was not happy one bit with a guy who wasnt going to start the season..

I liked him coming out of college!!

 

Was just gonna say this. People need to keep this in mind before jumping off the ledge after a pick in the upcoming draft.

 

I was actually glad because he was the best value at that spot and our LT at the time was starting to get injury prone and had an upcoming contract renewal.

I was watching at a friend's house -- he is a Bills fan. The Lewan pick came up and I was thinking "huh? I am not sure how I feel about this". And my friend said "Hey, OL, it is not a sexy pick but is always good to improve the OL"

Then the more I thought on it the more I liked it.

 

I can vouch for Cody on that one, he was all about Donald before that draft
