Really? I think we have good speed on D. I mean, no one in the secondary are burners but they aren't slow either. Wimbley and Klug get some speed on the line and Ayers and McCarthy are very quick. I think we do pretty well.

Well, McCourty is a burner. He had a 4.33- 4.36 at his Rutgers pro day. Tommie Campbell ran, what, a 4.35? Griffin a 4.47-4.52 coming out. We haven't really lost any speed in the secondary, I don't think. Verner is very quick on the inside, for the amount of area he has to cover. I'm still a little worried about them playing well in this configuration.

I think overall we have pretty good speed on defense. We have a couple of spots where we need to be careful, like letting teams get us into man situations and dictating a speedy rb on McCarthy or WR on Verner with no help, but we don't do that too much. And those guys are much better read and react players too and we play a lot of zone.

Wimbley and our DT's have got some nice speed and Morgan is fast for a guy his size.

    The secondary has been covered.

As far as Casey being owned, i wasn't looking at him as I was really focusing on our DE's and LB's. I'll see if I still have that game and check it out. With that matchup you'd think I would have paid closer attention...lol I did see Marks make a few really good plays (and one where he got pancaked).

Morgan is impressing me! I think we finally will have a very good pass rush in obvious passing downs with a 4 man rush!!!

well I hope your right about the rush.

even Michael 'the Vagician' Griffin will be servicable with a solid pass rush

McCourty does not qualify as a burner at all. A little faster than Verner with none of the quickness.

None of the quickness? Verner isn't quick, he's just smart. I guess being smart and picking up on QB's tendencies can make you look quicker, but Verner is the slowest starting CB around. Doesn't mean he's bad, cause he's not, but his game revolves around his ability to out think receivers and QB's.

Yeah, he is pretty slow as far as corners go, but you can't underestimate the power of anticipation. I never really see him getting blown up. As much as I liked Finnegan, he got to where he would give up big plays frequently. Speed isn't everything.

Holy Canoli! I never really looked into it before, but according to nfldraftscout, he ran a low of 4.26. That's pretty much as fast as Chris Johnson.
