Well two things can be taken from Brown's latest interview.
1.) He actually gives a damn, and 2.) he is in fact switching from OLB to ILB.

    Other notes:
    • Brown is used to playing inside (which is obvious to anyone who watches the games).
    • Brown is dedicating "hours" a day to learning the new system.
    • Brown is sick of WR's getting free looks, ready for more intense practices.

Cool, just as long as he doesn't free ball out on the field again.

Start by being ranked in the top 50, maybe.

I know you have your reservations on the guy, but top 50.. Thats just mean. There's only like fifteen 3-4 defenses which means 30 ILB's plus another 17 or so MLB's. I think he'll do better than top 50 ;)

I actually think he's in the top 50. I just picked the number because it emphasized the point and lined up nicely with him saying top-5.

He's a lot closer to 50 than 5. I'll say that. I still believe he has potential to be pretty good, though.

I'm excited to watch this defense come together.

If Brown doesn't stay disciplined in his assignments then he will find himself riding the bench again. I like having his speed on the field, but going fast to the wrong gap just gets you out of position even more quickly.

Will be fun to watch the competition between Mccarthy, Brown, Woodyard, Williamson, and Fokou to see who earns the starting spots.

If Fokou wins a starting job you will not be having fun come September.

I just hope they utilize his pass rushing from that position because I think that's one of his strengths IMO.
