Definitely. Guards are a waste in the top ten. Don't care how they grade out. The impact of a Warmack at 10 vs Warford at 39 on a full-game basis just isn't enough for me to take a guard in the top-ten. There's a reason one guard has been taken in the first ten picks in my 25 years of life on this planet. I think Sharrif Floyd and Bjeorn Werner are true difference makers at premium positions and have a realistic chance of being there. Short? Eh, he's probably just another solid DT, and I could stomach Warmack over him, but the other six guys being passed over for a guard would legitimately piss me off. I think ideally we move back and take Cooper if we can get value for our #10 pick.
If we sign a good Guard in FA I would be okay with passing on Warmack and hoping Warford is there at 39 but if not then I would just say pull the trigger on Warmack. For me right now it's Star, Warmack, or top DE.
I read this: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah: Big-bodied interior defender with a unique combination of size, strength and athleticism. Scouts question his motor, but he is a dominant player when focused. Per Bucky, NFL.com I instantly thought get that boy and pair him with good ol' Jim (just minus the wide 9). With first overall picks you want difference maker, a beast on the DL (whether at DE or DT) will affect his unit more than a single OLmen. However, with NFL teams now running the quick offense, its getting harder to sub guys in and out. And really I'm very happy with our DTs (Casey, Martin, SDM, and Klug). So, it does make more sense as a need to draft OL if there is doubt about Star's motor. So I'm thinking ideally Luke or Warmack since I think Star will be gone when its our pick. In the event they are both there I'd take Luke, they say he might be better then Long. I'd put him on the right and move Stewy inside where his mean presence will be felt. When blocking his size and power will keep DL in place, long enough for CJ to find the cut-back. Also, as a pulling G on runs, he will have quick feet with 'T' vision to block in space. Finally, in pass protection, he is a monster when he's not forced to cover wide - there will be no such thing when inside. Then draft in the 3rd or 4th round the best G available and just pick up a good C during FA. In such a case, I'd be extremely happy with: (Roos, Valz, FA, Stewy, Luke) + Good Depth (-Eugene).

Cordarelle Patterson at #6??? He's a terrible route runner who just improvises to make big plays. That might work in college... not in the NFL. However, I do think he can be a good NFL WR... just not worth such a high pick. I could see the Seahawks or Texans taking him later in the draft.
