Sorry Big Al...I can feel your frustrations. I'd want to be on a team that had an offense that could get you and your bud, Vanden Bosch a Superbowl ring too. Unfortunately, I can't blame you if you're not on this roster this time next year while we are still "letting Vince come around" and you are somewhere that gives you that opportunity. Best of luck :(
Yep......The VY experiment should be over. In the real world he would be riding pine. Underacheiver.
Just watch.......in the next 3-4 weeks, Gage and McCairens will actually hustle and try. VY lost the team, he lost himself. Yeah, in the locker room they are going to say the PC thing to the media, but they do not believe. VY has lost his heart.
Yeah, me too.... Except I'm wondering which one is gonna receive the finger-pointing.
I'm not even calling for Vince's head - Aaron Rodgers is just not getting his first chance at running a team, and he was in the NFL a year before VY. It takes time for some guys to become good, and maybe he has something, who knows.
I just believe we have a Superbowl caliber team RIGHT NOW, and we can not afford to allow the most important position on the team to be "learning" at this time.
The NFL window is very narrow, and if Vince "comes around" in 2 years, our defense will have been dismembered by then.
nate....I agree, there are no more years. We shouldn't have to wait any longer. He's being paid a goldmine to do his job. But he loses composure on an average performance......On TV to boot! He's still a kid. Funny, maybe his wonderlick score was accurate......He just can't figure it out.
After 3 average years, I don't understand why all the Titan homies still defend. Now is the time to excel and lead. In 3 1/2 qtrs. yesterday, the leaders I saw were on D. Vince looked bad, he looked uninspired. Not a great way to start your "breakout" season.
IMO, It's over, no more "give him another 2 years". He's not going to learn, he can't. He blew his chances, time to move on and get rid of his salary.
I have a feeling if Nate got his way, he would feel a lot like the Tampa Bay fans who gave up on Steve Young and then watched him rack up rings when surrounded by talent in San Francisco. But as long as you have a better shot this year (in your mind)...
Nate, I bet you were wanting to get rid of the McNair experiment after year 2 and 3 also, right? Too bad that didn't work out.
So how long do you want to give a guy who has shown OVER AND OVER he does not have what it takes to be a passer in this league? I'm not saying he cant be good, I just know that he is not good RIGHT NOW. And, ALL OTHER parts of the Titans are DOMINANT right now except the passing game. We dont even need a superstar, just someone who can manage a game and we are a SUPERBOWL CALIBER team. Big Al seems to want to be out of Tennessee after this year. We all saw how this defense performed without him on the field last year. The time is NOW.
If we utilize Vince's legs, he can be a superstar (see 2006). If we do not, he is a completely useless player in the NFL and is totally out of his league (see 2007). Vince's nickname should be "The Future" since this team obviously cares nothing about "The Now"
I think some of it is a result of bad coaching. Youngs attitude has been on a downslide, the same goes for our receivers. They look worse than last year. No confidence at all.
