There were some rumors going around earlier this year that the Steelers might be willing to entertain offers for Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers immediately shot them down, but stories like this don't just get made up. Adding to the intrigue is we just hired a HC that was formerly Bens OC and won a superbowl with him, and the two still seem pretty fond of each other.

I'm not saying they would trade him or that we would be interested, but hypothetically if the Steelers were interested in pick #11 for Big Ben and you were Ruston would you pull the trigger?

I would make that deal. We have the defense and most of the offense set in place, we just need a good qb to make a run. Drafting is such a crapshoot and I would take the sure thing every time even with the age difference. I want to win now after all this losing we've had to put up with.

And yes I realize I typed puck 11 in the poll, but I don't know how to fix it.

Um hell yea I would do that. He's only 31 and with the way we draft QB's we're not going to do any better than Ben. Id give up that 11th pick real quick for the rapist.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't trade a top pick (unless it's a pick that gets a Derrick Morgan Caliber player) for an aging QB who is well past his prime. Fatal mistake.

It's just hypothetical. I realize it most likely won't happen.

Its a bad thread because you don't trade a first round pick for someone you *might* get 4 average years out of. We have been pretty solid with our early round picks lately so getting a banged up QB at 31 years old isn't a good idea.
