Sure there is. Plenty of talent and teams that'd go on 8 win runs... then ALWAYS underachieve in the long run. Look at Tice's seasons. They're a carbon copy of the typical Fisher season.

The Cowboys from 92-95 won 3 super bowls with a great running game and a very fast 4-3 defense.

Jeff Fisher's philosophy to run the football and limit turnovers is the right philosophy. The problem is that in many big games we did not take care of the football and it was fatal. Fumbles, blocked kicks and a very painful int for a TD are not part of our strategy they just occurred.

And yes. Their records look almost identical- well Tice's was actually better through 5 seasons.

If you get 100 chances, you might accidentally do well a time or 2. Most coached get canned once they show they suck as much as Fisher though.

Tice made the playoffs 25% of the time Fisher made the playoffs in 37.5% of his seasons. Not the same!

I believe his point is that Fisher hasn't consistently had 13-3 type seasons, or enough to justify him being head coach for 15 years, and I agree.
