I think we get to scoreboard watch week 17 for a change.
Yes, if we can play like that consistently, game in and game out, we will be a playoff team. But so far, those have games have been the drastic outliers.
That was before Britt tore his ACL. We would have won the division if he didn't.
That W against the Ravens has fluke written all over it. I was going insane at that game though... Definitely made me a believer in Munch. Then 2012 came and made me think he's way in over his head.
In all fairness Munch was set up for failure. You cannot go into the season with the gaping holes we had an expect anything:
Piss poor coordinators
Weak on the interior OL
Weak back up RB
No real leadership on defense
Excuses over now. All holes have been filled. He has to produce.
I'm pretty sure the home/away opponents have already been finalized. The rotation was likely altered for whatever reason. The Titans will be playing in Seattle.
It's unlikely, but I have high hopes.
IDK, AFC is weak going into this year. I think we have a real shot.
I'm cautiously optimistic as well. I'm loving the moves we're making. Still, it will take time for the team to gel and get on the same page. How much time it will take, we shall see.
I do think we have a decent shot at making the postseason though. But I think it will have to be as a wildcard. Regardless of how much no one here wants to hear it, we're still the 3rd favorites to win our division. Houston is in a different league than the rest of the division. And we can debate 'us vs. Indy' all we want. Perhaps we are the more "talented" team, but all I'm going to say is at least they have their franchise QB. And a pretty damn good one at that.
For sure, I mean... we almost were a playoff team last year and we sucked.
Ravens will fall off. After them the only decent teams in the AFC are Denver, New England Houston and maybe Cincinnati.
