Fairly pointless biopic of The Germs, the anti-darlings of the late 70's/early 80's punk scene. If you even remotely know the story of Darby Crash the movie expectantly doesn't shed much new light. The most entertaining thing about the movie was watching Rick Gonzalez struggle not to slip into his normal "urban dialect" while portraying the very effeminate SoCal speaking Pat Smear (yeah the same guy from The Foo Fighters for you young'ns). Very comical at times.. This sure ain't no Sid and Nancy... A movie about X or even Black Flag would have been far more interesting to me. There's still The Unheard Music and Decline of Western Civilization (I) for those of us who revere that scene..
