Looking at the draft, what players, especially in the first round worry you? (you may find yourself thinking, "anyone but ___.") Why do they worry you?

    Here are my 3:

Jason Pierre Paul - A one year wonder. Doesn't seem to have a love for the game and looks to be looking for a big pay day.

Carlos Dunlap -The off the field issues aside, this guy seems to be great on a couple plays a game, but seems to take the rest of the game off.

Taylor Mays - A system guy who seems to miss a lot of tackles and chances at the big play.

Uh... please name a single player in the draft that isn't looking for a big pay day. How is that a knock on anyone?

Also, how on earth do you think you can judge whether or not a guy loves football? Pierre Paul certainly could be a bust, but from what I have seen of him (not all that much, but some), he goes all out on every play. What makes you think he doesn't love football?

How are we supposed to take your post seriously when you say stuff like this?

And for the record, all three of those guys would scare me a bit. But for legitimate reasons.

Pierre-Paul - limited body of work; not much game action against top-level competition

    Dunlap - character concerns

Mays - possibly too weak in coverage to play safety, possibly too small to play OLB

Dunlap: I keep hearing that he isn't focused enough, doesn't have the passion for the game, slacks off, has bad character and attitude.

He scares me the most because he might be a physical freak of nature but if he doesn't have the heart to be great then he'd be a total waste. And this is our 1st round pick and we don't have another pick until round 3 so I think we gotta be very diligent when deciding who we take.

Of course every pick could be a boom or bust, so I could name every player in the draft but Dunlap is the one who worries me the most. For one, we need to address the DE position and he might still be on the board when we pick so we might be tempted into taking him based on his physical makeup and overlook the character issues. This scares me the most.

I think it's fair to question JPP's desire based on this interview. Thus he scares to the bejezus out of me as a protypical boom/bust player. If we took him, the positive is that if can be motivated to shine and be great; Washburn can do it.

Any of the top rated DE's not named Graham. Griffin a one year wonder; Dunlap off the field, Morgan; I just don't like him.

Taylor Mays scares me because of what everyone says about him. I like the guy but I would be scared if we took him but I'd be even more scared if someother team in the AFC south took him.

I probably should have unpacked that a little more. I'm saying he seems to be (and I'm not the only one saying it) in the Albert Haynesworth, Julius Peppers mold that works hard in a contract year to get paid, then takes it easy.

Not the only one saying it.

    Scouts Inc:

    Seems disinterested against the run
    Disappears in games

    CBS Sports:

Limited stamina shows up late in games through less hustle and lost strength after initial contact.

Ouch. Zinga!!! Very true though. Especially when he airs out those passes that make you say WTF.
