I just heard discussion on The Zone about whether or not Hutch should return next season. I find it one of the biggest no-brainers of the offseason.

He was not good last season yet he's going to be better coming off of surgery another year older?

The Titans need to approach free agency and the draft as if they are rebuilding the OL from scratch. The entire interior needs to be replaced and it may be time to move Roos over to the right if they can land Long.

I'm not interest in any short-term solutions. Get the talent in place now to settle the OL for the next few seasons.

From scratch? I wouldn't say that. Velasco is only 27, and has atleast 5 more years in him. He showed that he can be a solid center. I believe we must keep him.

Roos & Stewart did have down years. But so did our entire OL. I wonder how much they were worried about the guards getting beat and they would try to help? They both have a couple more years, but we should be looking for a replacement tackle. If Joeckel falls (which, I doubt), that would be awesome. In the 2nd, if a legit OT is still available.. take him. Stewart can play RG. Rookie starts at RT, then potentially LT next year.

I could see us going tackle with our 1st next year. AKA: Jake Matthews.

I don't see where he's anywhere close to consistent based on what I saw last season. Maybe he wasn't the weakest link inside but he may need to slide out to guard or be depth. The Titans obviously were not impressed with him going into last season because they were looking to add both a G and C. I don't see where any of that has changed.

If the Titans are going to do this right, they need to consider EVERY option to upgrade the entire OL. No job should be safe. I'd like the Titans to use free agency to get an experienced center with upside. Let Velasco and Amano compete for a guard spot or bring in someone. Use the draft to find a stud C or G as well.
