E-5 in the US Air Force. I am an ammotroop (Munitions Craftsman). Love my job, and all the opportunities that the US Military has afforded me. I have completed my Associates, Bachelors and will start my Masters Next Fall. All free, thanks to Uncle Sam. I am also considering switching to Officer, but that is still up in the air.

Orderfiller. Probably the crappiest job of all mentioned so far. Imagine bailing hay, but in 30degree to -20 degree weather and with heavy boxes while being timed for production.

The average person loses 30lbs within the first 4 months and thats with us only working 3 days a week. However, most people (9/10) don't make it past the first week.
The pay is good, and the schedule is convenient though. Make about 20 an hour + incentives, while saving on child care through the week.

Constant jog for 12 hrs a day in a freezer sucks though.

I can't decide if he's serious, or if he's just ripping off "A Man in Full" just to see who gets it...

Good thing you can run a 4.35, or whatever it was.

Professional Consumer is my main job. I've started really utilizing my degree and I work at a private facility for elderly people. I am lucky in that I really love where I work and the rest of the staff and the residents love me back. In the past, I've had difficulities with my fellow co-workers because of my time off needs, etc. Basically, I don't have the will or desire for "real" nursing, like the ER or a hospital. I have an amazing schedule, work no more than 14 days out of the month, I am able to make dinner for the fam, go work and I'm back home before the fam wakes up and I'm able to make breakfast.

And before BiPolar or Gunny comes to throw monkey poo on my post, I work to pay for my Mom's home and lifestyle since she's been affected by the economy and stock market. It actually feels good to be able to take care of my Mom with money that I've actually worked for.

Hazadous waste/material tech for American Environmental 24 hour emergency response. We do some of the more serious jobs like that of what you would see on Dirty Jobs. Were mainly based in the southeast and east Tennessee. They call us the "grunts", because it's the really dangerous and dirty work that no-one especially the media and general public ever see.
