You are correct. He was lined up outside and just ran a go route. It was a nice grab for sure.

Yep.. That lame excuse worked for week one. What does he say about the rest? Nothing shuts someone up on Twitter like being the worst starting RB in the league. (this much is my opinion)

    Here are the unbiased facts:

He is tied for the 36th most rushing yards in the league. Tied with a QB (Newton) and a backup (B Jacobs)

Chad Henne has more rushing yards than Chris Johnson..

The Dolphins, Giants, Patriots, Ravens, Eagles, and Saints all have two players with more rushing yards than CJ.

Dexter McCluster has 40 more yards than CJ and this week was his first week as full-time starter.

He is tied for 42nd in the league in YPG. Tied with Newton and Jacobs (backup RB)

He has 6 more attempts than Ray Rice, and 131 less yards than Ray Rice.

And he is 128th in the NFL in YPC.

    Outright terrible.

So far this season, Paying CJ has been the worst personnel decision since signing David Givens.

Again if a fullback alone could be the difference between a running game being horrible or good shouldn't the FB then be the highest paid guy not the starting RB.

With the caliber of blocking we had in 08 and 09 Ringer and Harper could average 4.5 yards a carry between them with 20 rushing Tds. Lendale white had 4 runs over 20 yards in 08 and 2 over 40 with 15 Tds.

The point is that exceptional blocking can make a bad RB look decent and an average RB look good. We all know the blocking has not been good but CJ has not risen above it has he?

And note that despite the long catch sunday CJ is only averaging 7 yards a catch. Average in the nfl for a RB is 8 yards.

Again for sawdustman and anybody else who missed the point. If Hall single handed can take a putrid running game and make it good shouldn't he be the one making $10M a year? Because CJ has not been able to do that and he makes the big bucks.

The blame for the running game is 80% OLine and 20% CJ but that is the case with almost any running back in the league. No matter how great you are as a rb you can't perform if the line isn't making holes for you. If CJ was at the top of his game he might and I mean might be averaging 4 ypc. Realistically a great running back can't get you much more than an extra 1.5 ypc than a pretty good running back could in the same situation. When ypc is as low as CJ's is right now that is the lines fault.

He got market value. The market may be wrong, but you gotta pay to play. The Titans obviously felt they needed to play.

RollTide, where on earth did you get that I was defending CJ in any way, shape or form?
