I thought I would post it since the shape is like a football for some reason. Even has the laces. SF into science fact.

This is something I would love to see in my lifetime. An advancement like that would be fascinating.

And in truth, as the article mentions, either we figure out something like this or we are doomed as a species. Because whether or not we are running out of resources in 50 years or 500 eventually we will run out here on earth. Lots of real estate out there.

True but chances are I won't be alive for that so my care factor for that is pretty low.

I was reading the same article except from another source and at first they estimated that it would take a power source with the mass of Jupiter to power it but now they say 500kg of the "exotic matter" will do it. I think this an exceptional time with their predictions. Ill volunteer as the first test subject for interstellar flight like the dog in Sputnik did in the beginning.

I'll go if you can smoke weed in space.
