It's truly amazing how often this happens. I mean, how dumb do you have to be to squander tens of millions of dollars over a period of a few years without planning for your future whatsoever? Even if you have a bad "financial adviser" you should still keep a close enough eye on your finances to ensure you don't go flat broke.

That said, it's a very unfortunate situation and I feel bad for him. But that doesn't change the fact that being broke 6 years after signing a contract with $26 million guaranteed is 'pretty real' dumb and irresponsible.

If I received 26 million dollars. 15 million of it would be straight into the bank earning high interest.
5 Million would be withdrawn and stuffed into my mattress.

The other 6 million would be building my house in the shape of Deadpool.

I have no sympathy for anyone who blows $50 million.
