From what I gather it looks like they have essentially made percentages of existing songs available to purchase - and the owner collects a % of the royalties.
Funny that under the FAQ Heading "what are the risks?" there is simply nothing there.
I assume odds of winning Lotto are better than getting any significant return on investment here and that it probably exists for little old ladies who simply want to own a % of Achy Breaky Heart...
