The UT basketball program was irrelevant until Pearl got there, rose to hold the number one in the Nation in the polls, was a fixture in the NCAA'a and has been garbage since he was let go. Martin seems to be unable to win. FIRE HIS ASS and bring back Pearl.

Hey, if it were me, I'd do just that.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to make the calls.

    Dum-dum Dave Hart is.

Why do people get so butthurt about bending and breaking the NCAA rules?

In college athletics, if you ain't cheating you ain't trying.

    Bring back Bruce. Time served.

That's just so illogical. You can be the best coach in the world, but if you don't have talent, you're going to lose. Dooley had a team filled with 3-4 star players, while Butch's Cincy team was full of 1&2 star players, and the occasional 3. Doesn't matter if Nick Saben is coaching them, you're most likely going to lose. College is not like the NFL, all 118 1A teams (or however many there are now) are not in the same league. Some teams just cannot beat other teams.

I'm more upset about Butch's X's and O's. He came in here and tried to run a spread offense with a non mobile QB with a weak arm. That is the opposite type of QB you need. We had 5 great O-linemen, we should have been a power run team that used play action... not that spread option crap.

We'll most likely be moving forward with Ferguson who is another non mobile QB. I'll be upset if Butch keeps trying to run that spread option crap. We're not built for it. He doesn't get it.

And about Pearl, yeah the NCAA will be breathing down our necks again, but who cares. Better than being an NIT team. Bring back Bruce, make sure he doesn't violate even the slightest rule, and get back to winning.

Wow. That seriously gives me nightmares because I think that is what it will be. But then I remember nightmares are better than hell. And the last 6 years have been hell and the worst in 100 years! I remember 1909-1912 and I never thought it could be worse than that, and it is.

So really, as awful as a decade of never quite being good enough would be, I'll take it. It's gotta be better than staying in the abyss.

Tennessee has to keep up. This is a conference arms race and there will only be room for about 4 or 5 teams near the top in this conference.

    CFB is changing rapidly.

Alabama and Florida understood it first.
    Auburn answered the bell.
I think A&M will do big things and LSU will rebound.
Missouri surprised but I'm not sure they will sustain the success.

    1. Alabama
    2. Auburn
    3. LSU
    4. Florida
    5. A&M

    6. UGA, USCjr, Missouri
    7. Everyone else.

Tennessee has got to get up in that top 3 or 4 and those are some elite coaches up there. God knows Florida will probably make a rock star hire in a year.

I just don't see where Butch fits in.

Add in the fact that SEC might expand again....

VT, FSU, Clemson or others. Yikes.

You are wrong about something. The East will have major competitors. Everyone has failed to grab it so far, but as the saying goes...

Fulmer was the college version of Fisher.

Anyone that thought he shouldn't have been fired was FAR too content with mediocrity.
