That makes sense. Convert to a 3-4 and go out and sign a bunch of loser busts. That will make the team tougher.

We might have 3-4 players capable of playing in a 3-4 D and thats a stretch right now. Almost all of our linebackers are on the smaller side for even a 4-3 so scratch them out. Even our biggest DT is still way to small for a 3-4 and we have maybe 2 guys in Jones and Klug who MIGHT be good as DE in a 3-4. This is hoping that Morgan would be able to fit in somewhere as either a DE or OLB.

3-4 is not reasonable for this team right now, even though I would like to see us switch to it eventually.

I'm just saying the 3-4 defense seems to be what the top teams in the league are running..and look the Texans did it and are using Mario Williams in a Clay Matthews type of role as a rush LB and he had a few sacks. Of course they were on Collins so time will tell how successful they'll be with it but so far so good.

Especially considering he plays a position that doesn't exist in the Titans' scheme. Maybin is an undersized pass rusher who can be a situational player as a 3-4 OLB. I don't see how he would have fit with what the Titans want to do.

Ford is terrible. There's a reason no one has signed him.

He was probably our best pass rusher.

If he was horrible, what are the rest of our bum DEs?

I don't disagree. He would have fit the old system, but not what they are trying to do right now.... but I think he is showing that he has the potential to succeed in this league.

That's all that was meant by my post. Just wanted to talk about something other than CJ or VY.
