Titans won't use franchise tag on TE Jared Cook

So its offical, we are not tagging Jared Cook at either TE or WR. Didnt want to be on the hook for 10+ million if were too lose in arbitration. They felt things were swinging toward Cooks favor in that regard. Dont know whether or not there is still a chance we sign him to a long term deal. (h/t jim wyatt)

Think we need to re-sign him for sure. Too big of a weapon for Locker with no replacement on the roster or much in FA that wont cost a lot. Give him 3/23-25

The thing I don't get is, we're in a win now or pack your bags mode, why not shell out the extra cash to keep a weapon like Cook?

I never considered even doing that WR crap he's pulling, he's worth at best $6M for this one year, then we'd go from there.

I still wish we'd try and sign him long term to a deal worth 5-6 million annually, but I don't think it's going to happen.
