Not that bad... We're talking about a third string QB here. They aren't called "emergency QBs" for nothing.

If we see him once during the regular season, I will go streaking on the field.

I still hope we can draft a mid round QB let him compete with Ramsey for the #3 spot. But I hope signing this wont change that, if we don't draft a QB now, I'm REALLY going to hate this signing.

Well, I'm disappointed. This signing seems like a waste.

If the Titans are giving up on Vince, ok, I can accept that. I can accept I don't know all going behind the scenes so they would have their reasons.

But if that's the deal, why Ramsey with Garcia out there? Or Losman? Or hell Grossman or Leftwich? Or trading for Cutler?

I can't really complain about much this offseason, but I think we overpaid KfC, and I think this signing is pretty worthless.

Because he'll probably be cut during the pre-season. We have always had more than 2 qbs during the off-season. You need an extra arm in Training Camp and the OTAs.

As to why not those other guys? They'd want too much and they wouldn't have a chance at starting.

Cutler = Two 1st round picks, A 3rd round pick, and a starting QB.

I agree with you though, it is pretty worthless.

    Money, money, money, money! Money!

Grossman and Losman would be worthless. I'll be the first to say that I'd rather have VY than those two. Now, I would rather have Garcia or Leftwich over VY, but those guys are worthy of getting the #2 spot at QB. They wouldn't get that with us. If we put VY at #3, he would probably kill himself.

And, of course, I'd rather have Cutler than VY or KC, but we would've had to give up a ton, and the money spent would've been immense.

EDIT: Yeaaaaah... I pretty much said the exact same thing as the guy above. I look stupid.

Guys this is just another QB to help get through the workouts coming up. There is no reason to get all worked up about it being a bad signing. I think we will take another one in the draft and probably sign another cheap QB free agent. You need a hand full of QBs to get through practices.

Titans ink Ramsey as third quarterback

<em>Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky</em> <p>Coach Jeff Fisher said at the owners' meetings that he expected the Titans' third quarterback to be a veteran, and he is.</p> <table border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2" align="right"> <tr> <td> <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#c0c0c0"> <tr> <td> <table border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" width="100%"> <tr> <td bgcolor="#ffffff"><img src="http://assets.espn.go.com/i/headshots/nfl/players/65/3560.jpg" alt="" hspace="1" vspace="1" width="65" height="90" align="left" /></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <font face="Arial" size="1" style="line-height: 1.5em">&nbsp;&nbsp;<font color="#808080">Ramsey</font> </font></td> </tr> </table> <p>The team just announced it has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with free agent <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=3560" target="_new">Patrick Ramsey</a>. He was with Denver since 2007, overlapping for one season with Mike Heimerdinger, who is now the Titans' offensive coordinator.</p> <p>Ramsey is a safety blanket for the Titans if <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=9589" target="_new">Vince Young</a> does not make progress through the offseason and preseason. <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=734" target="_new">Kerry Collins</a> was re-signed to remain the starter.</p> <p>The Titans continue to talk about Young as their quarterback of the future, but I feel like they are trying to stand by their man and enhance his last best chance to be a player for them. He's as likely to implode in the preseason as he is to excel, and if Young struggles the Titans will have a quarterback in Ramsey whom Heimerdinger trusts.</p> <p>But they won't know what they'll be doing at quarterback in 2010 or, certainly, beyond.</p> <p>Don't look for them to spend a draft pick on a quarterback now. Carrying three would be a burden; a fourth wouldn't advance past camp or make the practice squad, barring injuries.</p>
