But is it a good 320(some Muscle like henderson) or a bad 320 (FAT ARSE!)????
Simon will be nursing a hammy or other such conditioning-related injury within two weeks. I hope I'm wrong.
Details of Simon's contract.
Not sure what (if any) signing bonus he received (I would imagine none), but his base salary for this year is the vet minimum of $720k.
That is a total coup if he plays well. We are paying AH something like 7x that this year.

Doesn't look outta shape to me
Tennessean said he will get no signing bonus, but he will get $10,000 every week he is not on the injured list.
Plus other incentives...
He would kind of look out of shape if he was our RB (aka Lendale doing his preseason dough boy act to line up some Pillsbury advertising business); however, he certainly doesn't appear much chunkier than your typical DT in the above pic.
Real scientific, he doesn't look too fat. When he was just 300 lbs with the eagles he wasn't fat at all. At 20 to 30 lbs over that he isn't nearly as good as evidenced by his 05 season with the colts when he was average at best.
This isn't hard, @ 6'2 he isn't as big as the larger DTs. His best play was lighter around 300 even at 330 he's not as good. He looks about 330 in the photo.
It's like a speed rushing DE gaining 30 lbs. If dwight freeney gained 30 lbs would he still be just as good?
And nobody seems to want to address this poly arthritis problem where at least 5 of his 12 major joints were supposedly arthritic. A pair of arthritic shoulders and he can't lift like he needs to, a pair of arthritic knees and he is done!
I agree he looks to be around 330 lbs now. I am guessing he was closer to 340ish in 2005 with the Colts.
I like to think that I am approaching this signing with cautious optimism.
I do not seriously believe that there is better than a 50% chance of him making any significant impact for us this year (the mystery illness situation is just that: a mystery, but most of the guessing seems to be the poly arthritis problem you mentioned).
However, I am comfortable with this based upon the low risk/high reward situation with him. If we had given him a sizable contract I would be grumpy right now.
