It's an anomaly. Jefferson may be the most hard-nosed coach we have. He was in Hunter's arse all season last year. Now, it's praise praise praise. Hope he's not a letdown.

It may be true that JH has more god given ability than Megatron. Will that equate to real world results, who knows. Thousands of WR's have come into this league with more god given ability than Jerry Rice and look how that turned out. His records are in no danger of being touched and that was when the game was a hell of a lot more difficult for WR's and the league wasn't so pass happy.

Megatron may be the one to beat that record... he's just gonna have to stay healthy.

No one is touching Rice's records unless the season is expanded to 18 games. Even then, Rice played 303 games. It would take 17 seasons of 18-game schedules to play 306 games, while having the talent to actually play at Rice's level.

It's the same reason no one is going to break the rushing record. Smith was a good player, but his best attribute was durability.

That is a huge statement DW! Nobody worked harder on their game than Rice--and he literally got raped by DB's- Megatron has never had to deal with that level of physicality. Rice was amazing to watch play.

I don't expect him to be Megatron, but I have high hopes for this kid. In a year or 2 I'd love to see him take the next step and become the #1 deep man with Wright cleaning up underneath. Pair that with Walker and a high WR selection in the coming couple drafts and we could be set at that position for a long time. The season can't start soon enough lol.

Megatron was awkward in his early days, Hunter looks as smooth as they come. Its hard to compare Hunter to Megatron of now, but if you look at him years ago just coming in to the league Hunter has him beat in many ways.
