Titans interview John Shoop

Titans Coach Mike Munchak interviewed former NFL offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach John Shoop on Wednesday night for a position on his staff as the team’s quarterback coach.

ESPNChicago.com also reported the interview took place.

Shoop, who played at the University of the South, didn’t coach last season. He coached at the University of North Carolina from 2007-11 after working in the NFL with Oakland, Tampa Bay, Chicago and Carolina. Shoop served as a graduate assistant at Vanderbilt from 1992-94.

Shoop was with the Buccaneers when Titans General Manager Ruston Webster served as a scout with the team.

Munchak promoted Dowell Loggains from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator late in the 2012 season, and indications are Loggains will remain in that role for 2013.

So why interview Mike Tice for OC then?

Me thinks McCormick may not be accurate with the Tice information. He's the only one I've seen say anything about Tice.

This guy was interviewed for the QB coach's job, not the OC job.

So much for Mike Tice........... Unless he is looking to replace Bruce as OL coach.

Yeah, but the original post mentioned Loggains is to remain the OC according to Munchak.......

Actually, maybe they want Tice as RB coach to replace the Skipper

Yes but the original post implies that Munchak is keeping Loggains as OC.

Wow I might actually win the bet of keeping Munch and Loggains.
