I actually made a pretty detailed post in the past about this "I could/couldn't care less" debate with links to sources about the origin of the phrase... not gonna dig it up right now because I'm on my phone... but basically the 2 can be used interchangeably.

"I could care less" is meant to have a slightly sarcastic element to it, and is generally accepted to mean the same thing as "I couldn't care less" ... point is both are viewed as "correct"
