1999. The Jacksonville Jaguars went 14-0 against teams not named the Titans. Week 2 of the playoffs the Jags beat Miami 62-7 in Marino's last game. SIXTY TWO to 7! Remember how out manned we were against NE last season and even they couldn't put up 62 and the Jags did it against a team that had just won a playoff game the week before! Then we doubled them up again the following week. That was the very definition of having a teams number.
I'd say that 1999 Jax team was the 2nd best team in the past 15 years behind the 2007 Patriots.
Name your top 5 NFL teams since the Titans(not Oilers) have been in Nashville.
    Mine
    1. 2007 Pats
    2. 1999 Jags
    3. 2001 Rams
    4. 2004 Pats
    5. 2000 Ravens/Titans (winner of that playoff game was winning out)

Did you really just put the 1999 Jags team as the second best team of the past 10 seasons?

    I can't stop laughing.

Oh, my bad... you said that the 1999 Jags are the second best team in the NFL over the past 15 years!!!

You must've taken too many hits of the Jeffrey.

The '99 Jags were a solid team but I wouldn't put them in the top 10 in the last 10 seasons. Remember, the AFC Central, at that time, was a joke. The Jags and Titans feasted off of the Browns and Bengals. Even the Steelers were on a decline.

So I feel that inflated the records in '99 and 2000 while the AFC East beat up on each other.

While you make a valid point I have to once again bring up the fact that that 1999 Jags team beat a playoff winning team 62-7. That just does not happen. That Jags team is way better than we will ever give them credit for.

I think you may be correct about the 2000 Ravens. By the end of the season they were almost unbeatable. It also says how good the 2000 Titans were too because it took some real goofs to lose that game.

62-7 against a horrible Miami team that allowed more points than they scored during the season.

You're basing their success in 1999 off of one game. It doesn't work that way. Name me one playoff team they beat during the regular season. Yes, you pointed out the fact that they beat a scrub team in the playoffs that had no business being there. I'll go even further with this... name me one team with a winning record they beat during the regular season.

I think you're too caught up in "14-2" than you are with the teams they were racking up W's on.

You really need to drop them from the top 5.

We got a preview of things to come with the Ravens in the latter part of the 1999 season when they blew us out 41-14. They went on a real roll there at the end and carried it over into 2000. We should've won that damn game just like we should've won in 2009.

Our 2000 team was the best we've had.

That horrible Miami team that loss to Jax in the playoffs beat us 17-0 that season and we averaged 25pts a game.
