You are simply not bright
The problem with that is, the mimic'er (like the word?) is never as good as the real thing. In stores we call them "knock offs". See, the first to do something has already experimented with these types of plays. They know the small details about what makes a play work and what makes them fail miserably. If you don't fully understand what those things are, then you are doomed to hit every stumbling block along the way. If you just look at a play on TV and say, wow that's great, then try it..... without knowing the thinking, if's and and's, and what to do in case's, you're in trouble. You will be doing what all the defenses "expect" you to do which is what we all saw on TV. And while doing this, you're sucky!
Who to the patriots mimic?
IDK man, up here all the ladies hit Canal street in New York and spend $20 for $2000 purses, stuff looks identical to me, so knock offs could be cool.
But I get what you're saying, and ideally we should make our own thing up, problem is; look at our coaches.
Having Locker in a pistol offense puts him in danger b/c we all know he doesnt slide much and his body is too fragile to be taking all those hits he will have to endure.
You're reaching for straws and have seriously no idea what you're talking about. Keep going.
I would rather them focus on the basics then adding a wrinkle. Why add something to his plate when the guy still struggles with moving in the pocket, accuracy, leading receivers and reading defenses
Locker has been hurt at pretty much every football level and including baseball. He has a history of being injured.
