The team signed Mouton today, too. Good day. Always good to get everyone into camp on time. I don't want to see Britt missing any time.

why do they sign late rounders to a contract before the early round players?

they're easier because the deals are typically shorter with less money. usually their base salary will be somewhere near the league minimum, especially 6th/7th round picks and the deal will be for three years.

first rounders usually get stuck on the guaranteed money and amount of years.

oh, and McGrath will be our best pick this year.

McRath could be a real value pick for the Titans. So many of these middle round LBs end up being borderline starters and ST guys but I really think this kid can be a real solid replacement for Bulluck or Thornton.

One reason he lasted so long in the draft IMO was because he played MLB most of his college career. As a MLB he probably isn't big enough for the pros. Of course we have seen players get passed up at MLB before because of their size and they turn out to be studs (McRath is actually slightly bigger than Vilma) so I wouldn't rule out completely his not pressing for some time at MLB.

McRath had 139 tackles (13 games) last season including 4.5 sacks. IMO he looks like a perfect fit to replace Bulluck or Thornton. Even though he is pretty fast (4.61 40, tied for 2nd among LBs at combine, Curry ran 4.56) he is also known for being very quick with good instincts. Hard nosed player with solid leadership qualities.

Oh, he already has his degree which means he applied himself in the classroom as well.

Where we picked him he might be a steal.

im just wondering if most of our picks turn out to make a name for them self, how will we be able to afford them down the road plus keep the solid players we have now?

maybe it's not a good thing to have a dozen pro bowlers on 1 team.
