Zach brown as a rookie gave us 5.5 sacks, 5 pd and 3 ints and you complain about getting another version of him? I'd take 3!

Here is a base 4-3 linebacker who had 4 sacks and 20 tfl. He is a play maker!

And while DW and short bus contingent will bash the pick it is very obvious that they have a plan for this guy.

We are going to have an aggressive blitzing defense. Ayers will play more with his hand down at DE. Another super fast linebacker who can blitz and cover is great to have!

    Great f*cking pick!

What about nickel packages? We play those 50% of the time so ignore those?

4-2-5 could involve Gooden and Brown as our linebackers. 2 linebackers with defensive back speed who are explosive blitzers. Yeah that would f*cking suck!

Same scenario in 3-3-5 nickels that we may use more now with Sammie Hill and a real big front. Brown and Gooden could be the 2 outside backers.

This guy would be nice to have against teams with freakish TEs like when we play the Rams and Jared Cook.

Look at the history of Greg Williams defenses and tell me we could not use this guy. Even if he is nothing more than a good backup to brown and a goods special team player he is worth the pick.

People on this board were creaming themselves when we drafted Curran a few years back. this guy is a far better pick!

    Again a great pick.

It's a shame that in today's nfl people can only see a base 4-3 or 3-4 defense when half the time you are in nickel and dime packages.

The 3-3-5 is more viable now and you might want a faster more athletic linebacker than Ayers on that left side. We can run a lot of exotic blitzes in that scheme with Gooden and Brown.

Not every down you idiot! He will without a doubt play about 10 more snaps a game from that spot.

Once again your analysis is of the short bus quality. Keep it up. DW hates the pick that means Gooden is a keeper!

The defense is going to be different as well as the offense. So folks you need to start thinking outside the box. This doesnt appear to be your fathers Titans. Things are changing.

Speed cant be taught. It can be tweaked, but you either have it or you dont. I want football players whether or not the " play short" whatever the hell that means.

i dont get excited about the LBs we draft. most of them are duds, and the ones with promise cant stay healthy.

It might be a situation where Williams/Gray want to put him and Brown on the field the same time in some passing situations.

For now, he'll be behind Brown and a special teams beast. In time, who knows?
