Three to watch from the Big East

<em>Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky </em> <p>We've been looking around the major college conferences, getting big assists from ESPN.com college football bloggers.</p> <p>I asked <a href="/blogs/bigeast" target="_blank">Big East maestro Brian Bennett</a> for three players he thinks won't be drafted in the first three rounds who will turn into quality professional players.</p> <p>Here is what he said:</p> <blockquote> <p><strong>Scott McKillop, MLB, Pittsburgh:</strong> A tackling machine, McKillop led the nation in stops two years ago and was the Big East defensive player of the year in 2008. He's smart, has great instincts and is more athletic than he's given credit for. Will play in the NFL a long time. (NFLDraftScout.com rates McKillop a fifth-rounder.)</p> <p><strong><a href="http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2009&id=23960">Tony Fiammetta</a>, FB, Syracuse:</strong> Fullback might be a dying position in the NFL, but Fiammetta has the combination of speed and strength to give somebody a useful weapon. (NFLDraftScout.com rates Fiammetta as a fourth- or fifth-rounder.)</p> <p><strong>DeAngelo Smith, CB, Cincinnati:</strong> Overshadowed at times by fellow Bearcats corner <a href="http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2009&id=24214">Mike Mickens</a>, Smith has a nose for the ball -- as evidenced by his national-best eight interceptions in 2007 -- and can also play free safety and special teams.
