I like jazz but would say I'm an occasional listener. This was new to me and it blew me away. Awesome jam.

Booker Little was one of the all time great bop and post bop trumpet players but he died tragically of uremia when he was just 33. Way too soon! Much of his work was with the incredibly talented Sax-clarinet-flute player Eric Dolphy a free jazz legend. They worked together interchangeably on each others albums and the results are incredible.

My 2 favorite CDs featuring these 2 incredible talents is Booker Little's "Out front" and Eric Dolphy's "Far cry". The audio is from "Out front".

Deep melancholy sound reminiscent of old school New Orleans with rich harmonies and great solos and that haunting trumpet. One of the best jazz records of the 60s!

It's going to be a chilly night, we're going over to a friends house for a fondue party. Going to sit by a fire, sip wine between courses, and listen to some great jazz piano...

It's a beautiful March evenin' here in London, Ontario. The windows are wide open, the mild breeze tickling the back of my neck as I sit here typing is a fantastic portent of spring and then the summer to come. It's Friday friendo, so grab yourself a cocktail, kick back and relax with Frank.... :cheers3:
