The OFFICIAL I changed my mind after voting in "Do you want Peyton" thread.

They realized that there is a very good chance he is gonna be a Titan. It's more than speculation, the interest is real and the pursuit is very real.

 

I changed my mind just before that.

I had to put my hate for the guy aside and think logically about the possibility and what it'd do for our team.

And once you do that...

simple.

 

My feelings changed because I stopped worrying about what may happen to Locker and started worrying about what may happen to my team. I want a Super Bowl win!!!!

Manning made his WR's in Indy, just think about what he can do with ours.

Still open to having him though.. if we get him.. we get him... still root for him..

I thought about how the Titans might structure the contract to make it possible to make a run with Peyton and also not lose Jake Locker. Just put all the guaranteed money in the first 2 years. Not as complicated as I first thought.

As long as the plan is to take two cracks at a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning and then pass things over to Locker in 2014 if it didn't work out (the last year before he becomes a free agent), I am on board.

It would suck to lose Locker for a proposition as risky as Manning. If the team can build in a bit of security, however, then I am all for it.

 

Remember how pumped we all were when we found out we put in a claim to get Moss off waivers? This is 10x better.
