I think Te'o, right now, is a bigger possibility than most think.

-Most teams don't draft an OG in the top 10, look at DeCastro last year. So even though that's our biggest need that will be addressed in 2nd or 3rd round. (Hopefully 2nd)

-Our 2nd biggest need is DT. I don't have a problem with our DE's right now since Morgan just came off a great year and we have too much invested in Wimbley to bench him for a rookie and with an improvement at DT his numbers should go up. Star will probably be gone and not sure if anyone else is projected where we're picking. Johnathan Hankins maybe? Jenkins? Bennie Logan?

-A lot of mocks have us going CB and that's not a bad idea but it's not a weakness right now. It would be better to move Verner inside but to spend a 1st round pick doing that? I like Milliner but he's a little overrated, especially when watching him last year. He's improved but I think that's mostly because teams threw the ball a lot more to the weaker CB (Belue) and Milliner hasn't been tested much this year.

-Safety. We're not going to reach at this position.

-Te'o. Improvement over McCarthy, same leadership skills if not more, physical guy, flies all over the field, and can be the face of our defense. Close to being a lock for a pro bowl level player as possible (taking away inury risks of course). Okay maybe not a lock but you get that feeling he's going to be a good player for a while in the NFL. Him, Brown, and Ayers will put us as the best young LB core in the NFL.

-If we did look at DE he would have to be a pure pass rusher, we don't want 2 Derrick Morgans out there. Mingo would be a good pick if he could gain some weight or else he's destined to be an OLB, Moore is in the same boat as Mingo, and Werner would be a good choice.

    1. Te'o
    2. Barrett Jones
    3. BPA at DT (Sylvester Williams, Shariff Floyd, Kawaan Short)

Address the CB and S needs in free agency and add another OG.

If Hutch can't go he's going to retire and Harris isn't a starter. Amano is a far better player at OG than Center and he's a good run blocker. We probably will cut him but it's not a crazy idea to bring him back to his original position where he got that extension. Assuming the top OG free agents go back to their original teams or get more money than we're offering we may have to keep him. Having Barrett Jones on one side and Amano competing with another new guy wouldn't be the worst case scenario.

Te'o is the best bet for us. Very favorable draft in which he might slip to us.

I think in the third we have to go safety however. Elam probably won't be there but maybe Rambo?

I love Rambo but I didn't put a Safety in the top 3 because Griffin is going to start at FS that's basically a lock (unfortunately) so that leaves one position open and if we sign a guy we may not draft a SS that early. Especially if it's like Moore or Delmas, if it's a patch then I would change it. Just guesswork at this point.

For sure. The key would be to get one of the free agent Safeties and if we don't.... Ehhhhh ouch.

To add to my note, we would need to find a FA OG, FA SS, and a FA CB.

Exactly. We have to get some key players in free agency or the draft isn't going to be nearly as effective.

I don't understand how any Titans fan could ever say they want to go down that alley again...Amano??? really? :whack:

We have the money to spend...if our FO wants to keep their jobs they'll find a way to get one of the top lineman via free agency and then another one in the first couple rounds of the draft.

Velasco is 10 times better than Amano...I never said anything about Harris..he sucks too
