This offseason our GM went out and got the pieces he thought this team needed to get better. He definitely did a good job on both sides of the ball finding players we needed to be better. Now this leads me to wonder just when Shonn Greene will be back because he was supposed to be a back we could lean on.He would be valuable in short yardage situations of course but also when C.J. has trouble picking up yardage.Right now with Jake Locker injured and our second string QB is in we could use Greene more.

Through four games both Chris Johnson and Jackie Battle are barely averaging over three yards a carry. Before he got hurt in the Pittsburgh game Greene carried the ball four times for eighteen yards for a four and a half yard average which was good against a good run defense like Pittsburgh has.

I do think before he got hurt the team was aiming to use him quite often and i think he could've been a deciding factor in our close loss to Houston.I'm not sure when he will be back but i sure do know we could use him on offense. Its disappointing that he is not able to play because i do think he can move the chains when C.J. or Battle have trouble gaining yardage.

Anyway i do hope that he is getting close to coming back we really need him.

agree ... I think Shonn Greene would make a difference. He is better than Battle in the short yardage, and but is still shifty and fast enough to break some big gains too. I think him and CJ would be the perfect combo. CJ and battle are just OK together.

Hopefully he's back ready to go against the seahawks. We need all the weapons we can against that defense.

I've liked Battle since before he was on this team so when we signed him I was very excited. I never would've imagined that we'd use him anywhere near as much as we have though.

Me either but CJ hasn't been getting it done. He's been doing alright, but I think this is still coming down to teams stacking the box because of the play calling. Battle has been good from what I've seen, still want Greene back though.
