The loyalty of the Titan's organization

Godfrey was a salary cap issue.

With McNair, they knew they were going to trade him so they just had to keep him from the facility so he wouldn't get hurt first. A lot of that was a stunt by his agent. It wasn't pretty, but I'd say that the Titans were more than loyal to McNair over the years.

 

Again-

Ask Nick Harper, Reynaldo Hill, Eddie George, Lamont Thompson, Denard Robinson, etc how loyal the Titans are.

We're TOO loyal.

So we didnt let a washed up QB come to practice because we were sending him packing? OK?... This is the NFL. Not buddy-buddy league.

And what do you think players (free agents or draftees) that sign with the Titans, or consider signing, think?


"Man, the Titans, the kept Nick Harper for 3 seasons. That organization is super loyal."

or

"Man, the Titans, they locked their franchise QB, one of the most popular players on the team, out of the training room. Created an embarrassing situation in very public fashion in a small market....That organization sure is loyal."

 

Didn't stop Thornton, Hope, Mawae from signing.

 

He's been as good, if not better then Bulluck.

 

Did I make some claim that no one would sign here?

Nope.

 

Then what point are you making?

 

I doubt there are very few players interested in signing that actually even remember the McNair thing.

 

Fisher isn't loyal to guys like Harper, Nickey, Lamont Thompson and others. He's too d@mn stubborn to admit when he's wrong. Loyalty has nothing to do with it.
