I'm sorry I couldn't hear you, I'm too busy counting my moolah
Morgan - perfect 3-4 DE. His best trait is his run stopping ability. He's got the size, around 280.
Casey - Solid 3-4 DE. He's got the size, and athletic for his size.
Martin - Same as Casey
Klug - Depth at 3-4 DE.
Wimbley & Ayers as 3-4 OLB
Brown & McCarthy = Sean Lee and Bruce Carter
We would have to go out and pickup 2 NTs, 2-3 more OLBs, and ILB depth.
Who the hell is Parker? I thought your name was Pedro...
I'm game for moving to a 3-4. Clearly the 4-3 isn't working for us, and we have a stout LB core. I'd like to see them change things up.
add me to the list, Mike Hunt.
Is it different? Then I'm down
There is no way Fletcher plays effectively at 248. He is a fast active guy. And that is the idea to have fast active guys at ilb and trying to keep blockers off of them.
I know Bama has been the standard for big inside backers with McClain and Hightower but they also had the big guys inside to keep blockers off like Cody and Jesse Williams.
238 is not too small to play inside linebacker in either the 3-4 or the 4-3 defense. McCarthy didn't hurt his ankle early in the season because he wasn't heavy enough. He looks smaller than he is because he is not very tall at 6'1 but a lack of size is not his problem as a player.
