Add FSU, Virginia Tech, A&M or whoever. It just equals more losses for Tennessee.

We are not elite. We will get shredded. Dooley is not the answer. He is a bandaid on a broken leg.

I'm tired of being average. The 90's seems like it was so long ago. Even then UT was not dominant. We are destined to live in the shadows of Alabama, Florida, LSU and whatever other schools they add to this conference.

It makes me sad because as delusional Tennessee fans we have always thought we were more relevant than we actually are. We might get a conference title once a decade. We might get a national title once every 50 years. Is that Tennessee football? I'm so proud. Go Vols.

Not sure I can even consider you a Vols fan after that craptastic post.

We are one of 19 college programs to have more than one recognized national championship since the poll era began in the 1930s. Only 30 programs have won a national title in all those years (and some of those are split championships).

We are tied for 2nd with Texas in all time bowl appearances at 49. (Alabama is first with 58)

We are tied for 5th in all time bowl wins with Oklahoma and Texas.

We have two SEC championships since the championship game began which puts in the top tier SEC programs including Fla,Ala,Aub,LSU,Georgia. We've been in the game 5 times, and one year were left out of the game even though we tied for the SEC East winner.

Dooley may or may not be the answer. We aren't as historically successful as Alabama and not as recently successful as Auburn, Florida, or LSU. But you clearly don't know your Vols history or how amazing and recognized the program is. People wouldn't take pot shots at the Vols like they do today if it wasn't for our past success.

Perhaps you should trade in your fan card and just jump on whatever band wagon is hot each year.

Oh whoops I meant SWC, Arkansas used to be in that conference too. They were also in the SIACC and some current SEC teams were in that one too.

There was a bit of sarcasm in that post.

Seriously though, What have they done for me lately?

When we start every conversation about our team with "remember when?" It is not good.

It has been a long time since we accomplished ANYTHING.

The only problem with adding more teams is now it's going to be really hard to get a team in the national championship. Bama and Auburn that past couple of years caught some lucky breaks so just imagine adding a tougher schedule to that. However, if we were able to land A&M and VT that expands the recruiting map for most SEC teams.

The best scenario though is add A&M, drop Vandy, move Auburn to the East, and put A&M in the West. We keep the same amount of teams, add a team from Texas, and improve the quality of the conference.

I think it's possible the college football landscape could change into super conferences of 16 teams. The Pac12 almost pulled it off, had they the SEC would have followed. Honestly, if the PAC12 had pulled it off, Texas A&M would be in the SEC now.

I would honestly hate that. I like it the way it is right now, 14 is a bit of a stretch can't imagine 16.

The rich get richer. Will make the SEC even stronger and they are already clearly the strongest conference...period.
