This past draft could have gone ol, dl, ol, dl, ol, dl, and ol. Ia'm willing to bet everything I own that we would be better a lot sooner than we will be following the strategy or lack thereof by our front office. I dont think i can watch this team all year if they cant block and i havent missed a game since 1990 except for the miami rainout game. Say im jumping the gun all you want but this line is the worst ive ever seen for an oilers/titans team. The game is won in the trenches and we are terrible on both sides. Bud needs to find someone who knows how to find talent.

Give the guy a break mate. It's not like it's a huge run-on paragraph, it's not that bad. And the more important issue is the point he is making. The higher ups failed to fix the biggest area of need. Getting Wimbley was a good signing because we did need to upgrade our pass rush BUT we totally screwed the pooch by not taking DeCastro in the 1st.

I like Kendall and want him to do well but he was a luxury pick at the spot we took him because OL was a much bigger need. I agree with Keefer that we would have been much better sooner had we not reached on Wright and Brown in the first 2 rounds. I'm gonna root for them both because they're on the team but I do still feel that we could have gotten more out of those picks had we gone with positions of need rather than potential.

Did we draft a single offensive lineman? I don't think we did. Did we even draft one last year?? Did we pick up one besides an old broken man that couldn't keep up with the Vikings. I didn't realize how awful our offseason was at addressing our most important issues.

Wow I just checked..the only offensive lineman we've taken total in the last SEVEN drafts were Bryon Stingley and Troy Kropog and also Leroy Harris way back in 07 Both late rounders..ugh. I'm not even going back farther because I doubt we've drafted one in the first two or three rounds in 10 years.

That's really really bad. Now we know why our o-line is so awful at least in part. We never drafted anyone.

Well the DL IMO seems to be getting more pressure on the passer. Hopefully when Marks comes back we will get an added boost.

The OL however ... BLOW IT UP this offseason. The run blocking was terrible last year, and it continues to be terrible this year. Whats worse though is they aren't doing as well in pass protection as last year now either IMO.

We need to go out and get 2 new Gs and a new C either early in the draft, or in FA. And I am talking big time FAs not the garbage left over in may/june.

Also fire Bruce Matthews and bring in a real coach.

If we fix the OL then I think a lot of our other issues will be fixed as well. OL has got to be the #1 priority in the offseason (sucks that I am already thinking about the offseason)

I thought our draft was very poor this year. DeCastro was right there for us in the 1st and Konz even dropped to us in the 2nd. Huge mistake IMO, and now we are faced with the worse line in the league. But we have a great 4th choice reciever and a LB who was brought into cover TE's but actually cant. Sensabaugh was a shocking pick when we had McCourty,Verner, Campbell, Hawkins and we knew Mouton would be back. Apart from Wimbley, I would consider the offseason to be a bit of a disaster.

I too, obviously love the guys now they are Titans.

Last OL we drafted high was Roos in the second. Also got Stewart in the same draft in the 5th I believe. Unfortunately both are showing their age now.

I don't think that would've been terrible idea, but I do think Kendall Wright is the real deal and will be a good WR in the NFL for years. (barring freak injury of course)

I don't think our D-Line is terrible. I think it lacks depth, but our starting guys aren't that bad. This will be the 1st week we get to see our starting D-Line take the field.

The offensive line is where biggest problem is at IMO. We need to draft OLineman 1 and 2 next year.

I guess the plus side to this whole conversation is that we've got great offensive weapons now.
