TDOT and road brine

    Why the F do they do this. All it does is F up the freaking roads, F up your vehicle, can't be good for the environment. Heck it doesn't even prevent icing, just lower the temps. Seems sand would be a better option, isn't the point to get traction anyways? Hey, I warned it would be a rant. :grrr:

    sand is better, probably more expensive.

    I do hate being anywhere near the dang sand truck though. Mess a finish up in a second

    the brine works ok for me so no problems with it.

    It was sleeting pretty good earlier.. probably still is.. I'm sure the interstates are slick as hell so it's probably a good thing they salted them.
