Yep. An offensive coordinator here only stands on the sidelines. They don't have any say whatsoever on what type of offense we run.
Again, remember Heimerdinger actually had to get Fisher drunk in order to let him run the offense, and when he did we were dominating putting up 40 points a game almost for about 4 games straight.

Not sure I agree with this. Steckel was similar in results (although we did go to the Super Bowl with him as OC), but we had some good offensive years with Heimerdinger (note I said good, not great). It was just masked by our dud of a DC.

If Chow gets the job, can we negotiate a package deal for him and Schwartz. UCLA is pretty bad already, so they won't notice how bad of a DC he is for at least a year.

Good point...two definite steps (almost leaps) down here. Maybe I should brush up my resume.....pay would be better for a year or so anyway.

Fisher needs to oversee the defense and we needa offensive minded OC from outside the organization to come in here and get VY back to playing in an offense that suits his strengths. Young will never be mistaken for John Elway or even Warren Moon he needs to scrambling on the move to be a real threat.

Chow needs to go. Fish, oversees the playcalling but trust me, he doesn't tell Chow what plays to run. That playbook belongs to Chow!!, it's his plays, he calls them. I'm sure Fish "Suggests" when to run, or pass AT TIMES, but that play calling is Chows doing. Somehow he forgot that he was coaching a Potentially one of the most explosivse offensive weapons of our time in VY, and began thinking he was coaching one of his pure pocket passers (Palmer/Leinart).

Did anyone see the Texans/Denver Game last nite?? Now Denver had some nice play calling, throwing it down field, stretch run plays w/zone blocking, playaction boots, designed QB rollouts, Naked Boots w/Cutler no less. I mean the playcalling was very imaginative, and very effective, and most of all, IT WASN'T SOOOOO PREDICTABLE.

Funny, but I don't think we have a lot of Chow supporters here.

    Dinger, yes.

    Les Steckel, let's see...how can I put this......HEELLLLLLLLZZZZ NOOOOOOO!!

I'd rather laser eye surgery wide awake, and no pain killers, rather than watch his brand of offense again.

How many years do you mean? Because the game plan was very different in 2003 when McNair had his MVP season.
