The glitch is also deleting some users trophy information, game data, and save game data. A good amount of users cannot access any system updates, so any firmware updates would be useless for them, causing major issues. This is affecting ~20 million users.

This is why I hate huge corporations. Because they simply don't give a rats butt about you, the person feeding their business.

I remember when people used to look forward to the PS updates. that was up until like 1.8 or something. then it broke certain video codecs from playing via stream. I used to use the Ps3 exclusively for media streaming, now I use only the 360. there really isn't anything I use the Ps3 for anymore aside from an occasional Blu or an exclusive title

First of all, trophy info will not be deleted.
Second, it should be fixed by tomorrow.

I hate the constant updates with ps3. Seems like every time I put a new game in I need an update that takes way too long to DL. Often having errors, and needing to restart.

And the game-data and save data? I've heard zero word on this, and that's the more serious issue.

It's on your hard drive...It's not like a virus has hit your PS3.
