WCO could be explosive if "QB too be named later" will throw the ball too CJ. "QB too be named later" never even looks for the most explosive player on the field!

"QB too be" f "named later"

What I don't understand with some posters is the thought that "He is going to be a great QB, but I wouldn't draft him at #8."

If he's going to be a franchise QB, he is worth the pick at #1, much less #8.

I'm not a scout, nor a fortune teller, so I'm not even going to pretend what kind of NFL QBs these guys are going to be. Scouts can't even tell most of the time.

Someone (like Mallett) could be great one day, but the chances he will bust are also pretty high. Even though some people may think he'll be great, there's a higher risk with him than someone like Gabbert, hence the "he's not worth the #8". No prospect is guaranteed to be a franchise QB, you just have to play the odds.

The Panthers appear to at least be looking into Auburn QB Cam Newton.
Carolina GM Marty Hurney is reportedly beginning to do his due diligence on the Heisman Trophy winner. Most analysts don't have Newton pegged as worthy of the top overall pick in this spring's draft, but if he continues to look impressive this winter, he should become a real possibility for the QB-needy Panthers.

Didn't the Panthers learn from taking an overrated QB just a year ago considering they're already giving up on him?

Yeah, this sort of explains to me why Fox was not so upset about his contract running out....

I hope Newton goes #1, that pushes the defensive talent one spot closer to us.
