According to SI's Tony Pauline, at least six NFL teams are ranking Auburn's Cam Newton as the top quarterback prospect in the 2011 draft.
According to Pauline, those same teams (one identified as the Dolphins) have Newton "clearly higher" on their draft boards than Da'Quan Bowers, Nick Fairley, Marcell Dareus, and Blaine Gabbert. Newton obviously isn't a finished product, but there's no doubting his arm strength, accuracy, and athleticism. He'll work out in front of media in San Diego on Thursday.

Good. That will push someone who can play in the NFL down a spot lower to us.

With the 8th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, The Tennessee Titans select, Cameron Newton, out of Auburn University :x

Lmao... let me guess those 6 teams....

Oakland Raiders - Reason? "He's fast and tall"

Denver Broncos - Reason? We messed up with Tebow... surely it'll be a good pick this time.

Washington Redskins - Reason? We want to also overpay rookies that'll never pan out. Not just vets.

Cleveland Browns - Reason? We drafted Brady Quinn. We'll do it again...

Minnesota Vikings - Reason? Look... maybe Tavaris Jackson isn't a legit NFL starter, but if we give him equal competition maybe it'll push him just enough to reach an 80qb rating.

Buffalo Bills - Reason? We sucked, but not as much as we'd like to. We've got a tradition going, and think Cam Newton fits in well with what we're trying to do as a team. Go 0-16.

Us "haters" would be the same guys that rioted when we selected Vince Young...

    for the EXACT same reasons.

    Yeah... that'd be "AWESOME!".

Know what'd be really awesome? Winning football games.

Swap out the Dolphins for the Broncos (there's no way they are giving up on Tebow this soon, despite what they might be saying) and the Bengals for the Browns (again, no way they give up on McCoy so soon) and I think you probably have the list.

I still don't see any way in hell the Titans go for Newton.

Seems like Denver is not going to be where Tebow sticks, but I would love to see Tebow and Cam on the same team running an offense just for the sheer insanity of it.
