And I'm by no means trying to lay all the blame on CJ. Playcalling has sucked. OL has sucked. And CJ has sucked.

I just don't get what we're doing here. Munch talked in the offseason about how they were going to be doing "some different things" with CJ this season. Yet we're approaching the halfway point of the season and we haven't seen one bit of that. In fact, all we've seen is Loggains running CJ right up the middle over and over and over.

Seems to me if that's going to be our gameplan we might as well be doing it with a more physical back. If you're going to actually get creative and not run it up the gut every single time then by all means leave CJ in there. But so far we're not seeing any of that.

I do recall one toss to CJ in the chargers game. Of course it was a loss of yardage. What can you do, creatively, with a player who fails in nearly every aspect? He can't really catch, is no longer fast and not extremely elusive, What's left?

Lets face it.. If the only CJ we knew of was the 2011-2013 CJ, would anyone think he is actually a good RB? No. All he has is the past. Nobody will trade for him because of the big salary. The franchise handcuffed themselves by acquiescing to him during his pitiful holdout. And the titans are paying the price in multiple ways.

There are better ways of spending that salary cap money. CJ from 2008-2009 is long gone. He sure had a short shelf life.

In the future, the top 10 pick on warmack and the levitre pickup may pay dividends. It SURE is not, right now. This offense has no consistency and no personality, no identity. We sure as heck are not a power running team, and not really efficient passing either. Just a vanilla offense that does nothing well.

Is there something in Cj's contract stating that he has to have x number of carries a game?
Thats the only reason I can think that the coaches keep running him up the middle over and over again!

It's amazing how many ignorant Titans fan hate our best player all the time. What do you think the Chiefs were daring us to do the whole game? They were daring Fitz to beat us which he couldnt and didnt. They sold out to not let CJ beat them. AND IN FACT CJ DIDNT EVEN GET THAT MANY TOUCHES after we got the lead. When he did it was a draw out of the backfield. Some people on here really amaze me with how dumb they are. One of the only reasons we were in this game was b/c of that sick td by CJ.

And for those of you who think he looked slow? How come no one caught him when he was jogging the last 20 yards.

Did you even read the thread or did you automatically go into "defend CJ at all costs!" mode?

I'm blaming playcalling every bit as much as CJ. What we are doing isn't working. Regardless of who's to blame, that's an undeniable fact. My whole point is if we're just going to run the ball right up the middle every time why is CJ our starter? He's the last guy on the roster we should try that strategy with.

Furthermore, run blocking has been subpar and even CJ's biggest defenders admit that he needs really good run blocking to be consistently successful. So just what the hell are we doing here? We're sending our tiniest RB directly at the defenses biggest baddest bodies over and over and over again.

I was actually really looking forward to these "new things" Munch talked about doing with CJ over the offseason. Yet we haven't seen a lick of that. So what gives? Was Munch just talking crap? Did Loggains forget to implement/practice anything other than runs right up the middle? Or do they just not have the confidence that CJ can do the things they initially had in mind? Hell, may be a little bit of all three.
