That's not as much based on bowl results or even play outside the conference. It's purely based on my own observations. In the east, there was a huge drop-off after Florida, IMO. Usually, there's a Georgia or Tennessee who has four or less losses. There was a lot of 7-6 records this season. In the west, the Rebels went into the season ranked high and they disappointed. LSU didn't have the offense. Arkansas didn't have the defense. Auburn was a head-scratcher much of the season. By usual SEC stanards, I think there was a significant drop-off after Bama and Florida.
