Saying the BCS is better than what we used to have is like saying cat sh¡t smells better than dog sh¡t. The CFB postseason was before and still is sh¡t. Hate the BCS. Hate the NCAA. I will always discount the BCS. Corporate slavery, indentured servitude if you have a sunny outlook.
Pretty real dumb outlook imo. Much better to have a championship game with #1 vs #2 then not have one at all. I can't wait for the arguments to begin with the 4 team playoff that is coming. NO way there is not going to be controversy.
The SEC is standing in the way of how it should be. 4 super conferences with conference champs advancing to the round of four. Slive and the SEC are greedy.
Wow there is soooo much wrong with that statement. Have you looked at the history of the BCS to see how it would work out based on conf champs only?? THere would be years would it would be #1, #4, #10, #12 in the playoffs... oh yeah that's really the best teams lmao. There aint superconferences yet so your idea is a dumb pipe dream at the moment. What if UT finished 12-1, losing in the SEC Championship game, but was clearly the #2 team in the country? No other teams with 1 loss, every other team has more.... And you think UT wouldn't deserve to be in the playoff?? Dumb dumb dumb dumb Duuuuuumb
Besides all that, the only reason the other conferences want champions only is because they are a scared of the SEC SEC SEC. Can't blame them on that, but it would just be obviously wrong to only include conference champions at this point in time.
Yet in the NFL teams can make the playoffs by winning their respective division (conference) no matter their record. Often times a better team is left out looking in because they... DIDN'T WIN THEIR DIVISION
You do realize the NFL division teams play each other twice? And that there is at least even scheduling that goes far in advance so teams are generally playing similar (FAIR) schedules? Or do you not know that?
Oh I know. I want the voting and computers out of it. Win your conference or stay home. Simple enough. It needs to either go back to voting and bowl games, you know keep the fun and tradition of CFB all for the student athletes and amateurism or a full 16 team playoff. They keep trying to have their cake and eat it too.
